Millettia Laurentii comes from the forests of the Congo Basin and Mozambique.
A compact wood with a fibrous structure Wenge is a very heavy timber with low shrinkage and outstanding resistance to mechanical pressure and traction.
Elegant and functional it is the ideal timber for those wanting to combine tradition with modernism.
Wenge ranges from dark brown to blackish in colour with a grain that spans from medium to coarse.
The veins in this timber are generally straight. Shrinkage and expansion in response to changes of temperature are slight.
Thanks to its excellent physical characteristics and hardness, Wenge is a very durable wood.
